Frequently asked questions
How do I use the blockchain?
We use smart contracts supported by the blockchain to register, find, and connect users from all over the world.
How do I create a blockchain wallet?
We currently use the industry standard browser plugin, Metamask, for wallet creation (link). Additional wallets will be supported going forward.
How do I receive ETH?
You can receive ETH for the Rinkeby Testnet from our Ethereum Faucet at Etherfaucet.
I received ETH but it does not show in my wallet.
Please make sure your Metamask network is set to Rinkeby. MEET is currently only available on the Rinkeby Testnet, but will launch on the Mainnet upon official release.
How do I connect with others?
Simply enter the recipient’s ID and press connect. The connection will not happen if the other user has yet to register with our smart contract.
How long does it take to register?
For an ID to be registered, the blockchain has to add the block via consensus. This takes anywhere between 10 to 20 seconds on the Ethereum network.
